Applications for the Georges River Council 2025/26 Event Grant Program are now open.

We recognise the valuable contribution that organisations provide in the initiation and running of community events in the Georges River area. These events not only highlight the area's rich cultural diversity but also contribute to the delivery of social, cultural, economic, and environmental benefits.
This program provides not-for-profit community organisations with the opportunity to apply for grant funding to support the running of an outdoor community event.
Community organisations will need to complete an External Event Application form found on the hold an event in Georges River area page and review the Event Grant Guidelines prior to applying for an Event Grant.
The program is underpinned by the principles of Council’s Community Strategic Plan 2025-2035 and governed by the Grants and Donations Policy (2025).
A few things to note

Applications must be received 12 weeks ahead of the event date.

Applications for an Event Grant must be received in conjunction with a Georges River Council External Event Application Form and pending Event Permit.
