  • Work continuing on King Georges Road upgrade

    The Australian and NSW Governments are upgrading King Georges Road between Stoney Creek Road, Beverly Hills and Forest Road, Hurstville to improve safety, reduce congestion and improve journey times for road users.
  • Road Condition Inspections - May 2022

    We are undertaking an assessment of the municipalities 395km network of sealed roads. Inspection work will begin in early May and take approximately two weeks to complete.
  • Bushfire management aerial patrols - 9 May to 22 May 2022

    Ausgrid will be conducting bushfire management aerial patrols in the Sydney area including Georges River LGA between 9 May 2022 to 22 May 2022 (weather permitting).

  • REQUEST FOR TENDER - T21/015 - Management Agreement- Penshurst Park Synthetic Sports Facility

    Georges River Council (the Principal) is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced operators to undertake the development, management, and delivery of sporting programs for the synthetic sports facility (which shall include use of the adjoining grandstand and change room areas) that is currently under construction at Penshurst Park (the Premise).

    Expression of Interest:  Georges River Council (Council) is seeking to engage a provider to design and construct a sensory garden in the outdoor courtyard space at Hurstville library. 

    This Expression of Interest is inviting proposals from providers to design and construct a sensory garden in the outdoor courtyard space (approx. 10m x 26m) adjacent to Hurstville library.

  • Hazard reduction at Oatley Heights Park

    With favourable weather conditions this week, Fire and Rescue NSW have advised they will be undertaking a hazard reduction burn at Oatley Heights Park (Beaumaris Crescent, Mortdale) on Thursday 19th August 2021. 
  • Notice for completion of works - extension of time to comply

    Due to the current lock-down imposed across the Georges River LGA it may not be possible for premises owners to obtain the services of third party contractors to assist with the preparation of Annual Fire Safety Statements or the completion of works required as a result of a Notice/Order/Direction/Declaration issued by Council.
  • Temporary Road Closure - The Avenue, Hurstville - 16 to 17 May 2022

    Council will like to advise you that Sydney Trains, John Holland Rail and Altus Traffic will temporarily close The Avenue, Hurstville. Repairs will be made to the Railway Tracks and Bridge Deck.
