Through the Heritage Publication Grants Program, Council awards financial assistance for the publication of works which shine a light on the history, heritage and development of the Georges River Local Government area.
Funding may be provided for 1) the publication of historical works of original research and 2) the re-publication of primary sources. Publication may be in the form of books, booklets, e-books, digital media resources, documentaries, films or online.
Applications which reflect the diversity of the Georges River area's people and places are encouraged, for example oral histories, migration stories, Indigenous history, cultural, social and public history.
A total of up to $5,000 in funding is available each financial year.
Please see the Heritage Publication Grants Guidelines for further details, including selection criteria and the terms and conditions.
