Event Sites

Georges River Council has many great parks and reserves that are available for you to use for your event. You can see a full list of them on the Parks and Reserve Facilities webpage.

If you would like some advice on where we think would be a great location for your event please contact our Events team.

Assessment Timelines

Council requires 12 weeks notice to assess a normal Event Application and 16 weeks notice to assess an event that requires road closures.

Any applications that are submitted outside of these time frames may be rejected entirely.

Please note, you do not need to complete our Event Application Form:

  • If your event takes place on private land (such as a school, church, private residence and so forth).
  • If your event will be attended by fewer than 100 people in a public park or reserve.
  • For sporting activities, photo shoots or weddings (these are booked though Council's Parks Department).
  • For small street parties (these only require a road closure permit).
  • For Hurstville Entertainment Centre facilities and community halls (these are booked through Hurstville Entertainment Centre).
  • For Council Library rooms and facilities (these are booked through Georges River Council Libraries).
  • For Museum bookings (these are booked by emailing our Museum and Gallery team).
