A temporary structure includes any structure that is not permanent, such as Tents, Marquees, Stalls, Hoardings, Scaffolding and Ground Anchoring Systems.
Where temporary structures are proposed to be installed on Council owned or managed land, approval must be obtained. To find out more, please view Council's Temporary Structures Application Checklist or contact us.
Please note that all applications for Hoardings and Ground Anchoring Systems must be lodged via the NSW Planning Portal as a Section 68 Local Government Act application.
You will need:
- A MyService NSW Account or your Planning Portal login details
- Specific documents requested by Council such as building plans, specifications, (refer to Temporary Structures Application Checklist)
- Your payment – you will be required to pay a NSW Planning Portal Service Fee of $40.00.
- Once Council is informed of your application’s lodgement in the NSW Planning Portal, after reviewing information submitted, Council will generate an invoice for fees to be paid in accordance with Council’s Fees and Charges.
- Once payment is received by Council, the application will be formally accepted and the applicant notified through the NSW Planning Portal.
