Council's Environmental Health Officers conduct routine inspections throughout the Georges River area of various premises, including:
Cooling Water Systems and Warm Water Systems
Public Swimming Pools and Spa Pools
By undertaking these inspections our Environmental Health Officers can ensure that public health and safety is maintained.
Regulations for building owners and managers regarding the cooling towers and warm water systems (regulated systems)
Advice about causes of sewer blockages and overflows and who to contact when carry out works, and when to seek the support of Council.
The Public Health Act 2010 and Public Health Regulation 2012 regulate body decorating and grooming practices carried out by people who are not registered as health professionals.
There are a number of public swimming pool and spa pools located within Georges River Council which are inspected by Council’s Environmental Health Officers to ensure compliance with Public Health legislation
Land that is in a condition that poses health, safety, or environmental hazard is considered unhealthy and or unsafe. Unsafe and unhealthy land and affect the occupier, neighbouring properties as well as the environment.
