Council advertises public notices on this webpage to keep our community informed about a proposed action or decision affecting your area. 

In addition, Council places items such as on draft plans, projects, policies and documents on public exhibition to provide opportunities for members of the local area to comment and give their feedback.

Public notices are exhibited for 12 months unless they have a clear expiry on the notice of information to the community. All public notices are archived and previous notices are available for the community to access by contacting media@georgesriver.nsw.gov.au.

    Georges River Council recently undertook changes in response to community feedback and concerns on illegal parking and unsafe traffic conditions around Sans Souci Leisure Centre and Sans Souci Park.

    Council will be undertaking emergency removal of a large Ficus tree located at 148 Penshurst Street, Penshurst. This removal is necessary due to a significant structural fault.
  • Community Fair Location for Future Events

    Georges River Council is currently working in partnership with the Lugarno Lions Club to identify a suitable location for their future Community Fair. Riverwood Park will not be available to host the event due to upcoming field reconstruction works.
