We are pleased to advise that the walking track at HV Evatt Reserve has reopened ahead of schedule. Track closure signage will be removed today.

Update: Tuesday 18 August 2026

The HV Evatt Reserve car park has now reopened and is available for public use.

Trail maintenance and repair works are continuing within the reserve and are expected to be completed by December 2026, subject to weather conditions and site access requirements. Visitors may notice construction activities in the area while these works are underway.

Council appreciates the community’s patience and cooperation as these important improvements continue.

Georges River Council will begin trail maintenance and repair works at HV Evatt Reserve from Monday 3 August 2026.

Contractors will temporarily use a small part of the car park to stockpile materials. Please refer to the image below for the affected area.

The works are expected to be completed by December 2026. However, Council anticipates that the project may be finished sooner. The team has allowed a longer timeframe due to the site's difficult access and potential weather impacts.
