Economic Development
The Economic Development team at Georges River Council help shape the local economy, supports business growth, and drive regional investment.
Our three major areas of work are:

Policy and Analytics

Developing the Local Economic Development Strategy to guide the region’s future. Aligning local priorities with State policies, identifying key precincts, and providing economic insights to inform decision-making and investment.

Advocacy and Partnerships

Advocating for the region through strong partnerships with State agencies, tertiary institutions and industry. Positioning the region to attract investment, funding and strategic opportunities.

Local Business Support

Uplifting local businesses through programming (Small Business Month) and a monthly business newsletter. Informing and assisting businesses with local and State grants.
