Georges River Art Prize 2023 Judges

Tony Costa
Tony Costa GRAC 2023 Judge Tony Costa completed Postgraduate studies at City Art Institute Sydney.  In 1988 he was selected to participate in the Triangle Artists’ Workshop in New York. Costa's art practice spans portraiture and landscape painting.

He was a finalist in the Wynne, Sulman and Dobell Prize for Drawing at the Art Gallery NSW. He was also a finalist in Doug Moran Portrait Prize, Fleurieu Biennale and Kilgour Portrait Prize. He was the Winner of the Paddington Art Prize for landscape painting in 2014 and the Archibald Prize Winner 2019.

He is represented by Art Atrium, Sydney.
Patrick Cremin
Patrick Cremin GRAC 2023 Judge

Patrick Cremin is an artist and arts worker based in Sydney. He is currently the Arts and Culture Specialist at Bayside NSW, working to highlight South Sydney as a creative destination. He has held previous positions at the Brett Whiteley Studio, Bankstown Arts Centre and City of Parramatta.
 
He is a founding Co-Director of Archive Space, an artist-run gallery in Newtown (2012-2015), Co-founder of Document Photography, an art documentation business in Sydney and graduated from UNSW Art and Design with a Master of Fine Arts (research) in 2016. A book of his artwork has recently been published by Stray Pages, Melbourne.

Carrie Kibbler

Since 2013 Carrie Kibbler has been the Curator at Hazelhurst Arts Centre in southern Sydney. She was previously the Curator and Collection Manager at Artbank from 2006 to 2013.

Her current curatorial project is In the arms of unconsciousness: Women, feminism and the surreal which will be on exhibition at Hazelhurst from 1 July to 3 September 2023.
