Summary

Georges River Council entered into a Planning Agreement pursuant to section 7.4 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 with Combined Projects (Hurstville) Pty Limited on 28 April 2018.

The VPA relates to the carrying out of the Development of the Land and requires the Developer to make a monetary contribution to Council of $1,000,000 towards public infrastructure improvements within the Hurstville City Centre.


Background

The VPA relates to the Development Application (DA2016/154) which proposes an additional two (2) storeys comprising 14 additional units on top of Building D of the mixed use development on the Land as approved on 10 May 2016 in respect of Development Application DA 2015/191.
 
Council received the Offer to enter into a VPA in association with the Development Application from Combined Projects (Hurstville) Pty Limited on 30 August 2017.

The Offer to enter into the VPA was reported to the Council Meeting on 4 September 2017 (CCL211-17) and accepted by Council.


Description of the VPA

The VPA requires the Developer to make a monetary contribution to Council of $1,000,000 towards public infrastructure improvements within the Hurstville City Centre.

The monetary contribution excludes any section 7.11, section 7.12 and section 7.24 (formerly known as section 94, section 94A and s94EF) contributions applicable to the development.


Date of notification of proposed Planning Agreement

The Planning Agreement was placed on public exhibition from 22 November 2017 to 22 December 2017.
 

Date the agreement was entered into

The Planning Agreement was executed on the 18 April 2018.

The VPA applies to 12-22 Woniora Road, Hurstville being Lot 10 in Deposited Plan 840238.
