Mortdale is identified as one of eight ‘Local Centres’ in the Georges River Local Strategic Planning Statement (LSPS) 2040. In August 2020, Council decided to create a Master Plan for the Mortdale Local Centre. This plan will guide development in Mortdale for the next 20 years. The Master Plan was adopted by Council at its meeting on Monday 23 October 2023. The Master Plan:
Sets the future vision for the Mortdale Local Centre.
Assists in managing growth and future development.
Offers a clear plan for new buildings, infrastructure, land use, and public spaces.
