The SGYN is a youth inter-agency network. It brings together Council, local community services and organisations. It also includes schools and other government departments. As a group, we work to support young people in the community.
How does the SGYN support young people?
The SGYN meets every two months. They discuss local youth priorities, activities and services, and opportunities for young people.
Through these meetings, the SGYN:
-
Provides information sharing opportunities for local services.
-
Strengthens collaborative partnerships between local services, schools, and government departments.
-
Facilitates youth advocacy.
-
Plans youth projects and services.
How do I join the SGYN?
Membership is open to anyone who wants to support young people in Georges River and nearby areas. People from Bayside, Sutherland Shire, and Canterbury‑Bankstown are welcome to join.
