Georges River is a wonderfully diverse community, and I’m proud to say that we are committed to ensuring every resident feels a true sense of belonging. Our Social Justice Charter is a testament to this commitment, guiding us in our efforts to eliminate discrimination and create a safe, inclusive environment for all.
June is Pride Month, a time to reflect on the rich tapestry of people who make up our local area. Whether through culture, age, ability, background, or identity, every resident has a place and a voice in our community. Pride Month serves as a meaningful reminder of the importance of creating spaces where everyone feels safe, accepted, and valued.
While Pride Month honours the ongoing journey toward equality, it also offers us the chance to celebrate the strength we find in our diversity. At its heart, this month is not just about identity—it’s about community, connection, and shared humanity.
To everyone in our community: thank you for shaping the inclusive spirit that makes Georges River such a welcoming space. May this Pride Month inspire us all to keep building a future where every person is truly seen, heard, and valued.
