Venue Hire

On Monday September 7 2020 the Marana Auditorium and Civic Theatre reopened to the public. Hurstville’s favourite performance venues will be available for movie nights, concerts, dance schools, recitals, meetings, seminars and more!

Under the current NSW Public Health Order requirements, both venues will be operating with reduced capacities. The Marana Auditorium will have a maximum audience capacity of 190 people (138 on the ground floor + 52 in the dress circle) while the Civic Theatre will be limited to a maximum of 45 audience members.

Hurstville Entertainment Centre has a range of COVID-19 safety measures in place to ensure that your event runs safely, smoothly and in compliance with the current guidelines from NSW Health.

Contact the Entertainment team on 9330 6400 (option 2) to make a booking and discuss other available options, including live streaming your event in order to boost audience numbers.  We are now taking bookings up to the end of 2021.

The St George Community Centre in Kogarah remains closed until further notice.

We have made some changes to help keep you and our staff safe during this time.

  • It will be great to see you again, but please stay home if you are feeling sick.

  • Personal space is important: Please keep a 1.5m distance from other guests while in the venue.

  • Appreciate the venue: We have a limit to the number of guests we can accommodate to each venue.

  • Let’s fight these germs together: Please regularly wash your hands for at least 20 seconds and use hand sanitiser. We have increased the cleaning and sanitising schedules of our venues.

  • Continuing to be safe: Our Entertainment Team is available to answer any enquiries and questions relating to the availability and capacities of our Community venues.

    Call: 9330 6400 or email: entertainment@georgesriver.nsw.gov.au.

Please continue to follow the current NSW Public Health Order. www.legislation.nsw.gov.au
