COVID-19 – Information about Council’s Grants Programs

In light of the closure of all registered clubs by the Federal Government on 23 March, the 2020 Georges River ClubGRANTS program will be temporarily suspended.
This program will be reviewed on a monthly basis: please check this website for updates.

Club Grants

Council is convenor of the Local Committee for the ClubGRANTS scheme, which provides grants to not-for-profit community groups from local gaming machine profits through an annual program.

Council manages applications for the ClubGRANTS scheme; however Council does not contribute financially to this fund. After considering the recommendations of the Local Committee, the eligible registered clubs which donate the funds make the final decision on the allocation of their contributions.

Funding is provided to a range of projects including services for:

  • Community welfare and social services
  • Community development
  • Community health services
  • Employment assistance activities, including social enterprise

The ClubGRANTs Local Committee has identified a number of Priority Community Needs for funding in the Georges River area
