Re-tread Bike Drop-off and Check & Tune

This is a Council led event.

09/10/2025 - Gannons Park, Peakhurst.

Do you have an old bike or scooter you no longer need? Would you like a brief chat with a bike mechanic? Come down to Gannons Park these school holidays! Learn about how to maintain your bike from specialised bike mechanics, keeping your ride smooth and safe. For any old bikes and scooters, drop them off for easy recycling.

  • Drop-off: 8.00am - 1.00pm.
Residents of the Georges River area can drop off any old or unwanted bikes and scooters for free.

  • Check and Tune: 8.00am - 1.00pm.
Do you have an old bike with minor issues or are unsure if it is worth fixing.  You can chat with a bike mechanic to discuss how or where to fix it, or they may be able to fix the small issues on the spot. Check and Tune is only available for standard bicycles. If our bike mechanics are busy when you arrive grab a ticket and come back. Please note time with the mechanics are limited to 15 mins per person.
