The Household Chemical CleanOut is a free event which allows residents in the Georges River area to safely dispose of their unwanted chemical waste. 

Only household quantities of chemical waste is accepted up to 20kg or 20L of each item, except paint and batteries. Up to 100L (in 20L containers) of paint is accepted. Up to 10kg of batteries is accepted.

Due to earlier cancellations of Household Chemical CleanOut events this year, we anticipate higher than average attendance at the upcoming events. As a result, longer than usual wait times may occur.

We kindly advise residents to consider avoiding nearby roads if you do not require to attend the event or area to help reduce congestion.

To assist with reducing wait times at the event, please:

• Check the list of accepted Household Chemical CleanOut items and organise items neatly in the boot of your car or ute tray in advance.

• Please remain in your vehicles at all times.

• Follow traffic directions and staff instructions carefully.

No items will be accepted at the depot prior to these events. Placing items on public land without permission is considered Illegal Dumping and may result in significant fines.

Residents if unable to attend these dates, are encouraged to use Community Recycling Centres, which are open throughout the year or Household Chemical CleanOut events (open to all NSW residents) outside the Georges River Government Area.
