Intro to Gel Printing Workshop: Explore texture, colour and play through printmaking!
Join us for a relaxed, hands-on introduction to gel plate printing—a playful, process-based art form that lets you create layered, one-of-a-kind prints using a soft gel plate and acrylic paint.
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to:

Best practice for setting up your creative space to create mono-prints with a gel plate.

Use simple tools and natural materials like stencils, string, and leaves to make unique prints

Experiment with positive and negative space, and how to build layers with colour and texture

Learn best practice for cleaning and maintaining gel plates
You’ll have time to follow your curiosity, explore & experiment different techniques, and leave with a delightful collection of prints.
For adults. This event is suitable for ages 16 years and over.
No experience needed — for beginners. This is a small group workshop — all materials and equipment will be provided, limited spots available.

If you arrive more than 10 minutes after the advertised start time and there are people in the standby queue, your ticket may be allocated to the standby queue.

This workshop will not be recorded and cannot be accessed after the scheduled time. If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration at least 3 hours prior to the event. As Library Programs have limited spaces and repeated failure to notify staff of cancellations, bookings may be refused in the future.
