Georges River Writers Meet and Greet

This is a Council led event.

Georges River is home to many passionate and talented local writers! Get to know our Georges River Writers and celebrate local writing at this community meet and greet.

You will have the opportunity to drop in between 2.00pm and 6.00pm to enjoy a light tea, meet our local writing groups and authors and their works, discover writing opportunities available in the area, and browse a pop-up bookshop from QBD Books Hurstville featuring books on writing. You may even be inspired to join a group yourself and get writing!
 
About our Writing Groups:
You’ll have the chance to get to know the members and works of Discovery Writers, Endeavour Writers Sutherland, Illawong Haiku Group, Oatley Writers, River Writers, and more.

  • If you arrive more than 10 minutes after the advertised start time and there are people in the standby queue, your ticket may be allocated to the standby queue.

  • If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration at least 3 hours prior to the event. As Library Programs have limited spaces, repeated failure to notify staff of cancellations may result in bookings being refused in the future.
