Join us for a vibrant day of creativity and inspiration as we celebrate the Georges River Art Prize.
 
This biennial exhibition showcases artworks from across Australia, featuring painting, sculpture, local talent, and the creative voices of local children and youth.
 
Celebrate creativity in this day full of hands-on activities for all ages. Whether you're an art lover or looking for a fun family day out, there's something for everyone!

Artzone 

Clay sculpting session for kids aged 8 to 12 years.

Be inspired by the exhibition’s sculptural works and create your own clay sculpture to take home.

Fragments of place, a collage landscape workshop

In one hour, learn how to craft your own postcard-sized abstract landscape collage. Guided by a professional artist, this workshop is inspired by the exhibition’s landscapes and themes.

For the whole family

During the day, embark on a family activity trail or enjoy free drop-in activities, including making your own colourful pom-pom inspired by an artwork on display.

  • For participants aged 10 years and under, parents and/or guardians of children must remain at Hurstville Museum & Gallery for the duration of the program. For safety reasons, we allow each parent and/or guardian to be responsible of a maximum of 4 children per session (1:4 ratio). 

  • For participants under the age of 16, parent and/or guardian contact details must be provided at the time of booking.

  • No refunds for cancellations or missed bookings.

  • Program swapping is not permitted.

  • Online bookings incur booking fees and surcharges.

  • Programs are fully supervised by qualified staff.

  • While all reasonable precautions are taken, participation in the program is at the participants own risk.

  • The museum and its staff are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained during the program unless caused by gross negligence.
