Drawing from Nature

This is a Council led event.

18/10/2025 - Life Saving Hall, Carss Park.

Join Australian artist and current Artist in Residence, Nicola Moss, for a hands-on creative workshop inspired by the beauty of Carss Park.

During this workshop, participants will explore three versatile art techniques - frottage, paper cutting, and collage - to create unique and personal responses to place. After a walk through the park with insights from a Bushcare Council Officer, we’ll return indoors to develop a series of works on paper. Whether abstract or realistic, your creations will reflect your own connection to the environment and sense of place.

Nicola Moss’s collaged works highlight the importance of green spaces in our busy urban lives. Come along and discover new ways to observe, interpret, and celebrate your surroundings.

After this program, participants can expect to walk away with techniques, ideas on engaging with environment, starting points for developing personal language and a series of paperworks.

No experience is needed. Just bring your curiosity, a camera or phone, and a smock to protect your clothing.
