Hurstville Museum & Gallery

Hurstville Museum & Gallery is OPEN!

Come in and see our newest exhibition Artbomb: connect + create

Artbomb is not your average exhibition.

COVID-19 forced communities to self-isolate, cultural institutions to close and many artists to lose work. It has had far-reaching effects on the lives, livelihoods and practices of artists, but has also fostered innovative online communities, inspired novel ways of thinking and the creation of new works.

Artbomb brings together artists from the Georges River area and members of the community in a re-kindled celebration of creativity. Showcasing a range of styles, such as visual art, writing, and performance, our space will be transformed in response to the global pandemic. Each week, new artworks will appear and the exhibition will grow in a slow release explosion of artistic expression.

Come in, reconnect and create.

Hurstville Museum & Gallery is home to high quality exhibitions, a diverse range of public programs and a collection of approximately 6,000 objects and artworks from the local area.
