Planning Proposal Request

This Planning Proposal seeks to amend Schedule 1 to the Georges River Local Environmental Plan 2021 (GRLEP) to insert “function centre” as an additional permitted use on the site of the Hurstville Golf Course Clubhouse (on part of Lot 1, DP176469 known as 57 Lorraine Street, Peakhurst).

The objective of the PP is to enable a function centre to operate within the existing Clubhouse building. The intended outcomes are to:

  • To allow the use of the existing Clubhouse to be used as a function centre,

  • To support the long-term viability of the facility as multi-purpose venue, and

  • To implement the recommendations of Council’s Optimising Community Access and Facility Use Plan

The proposed amendment focuses solely on land use and involves no changes to the built form provisions that could impact the surrounding area.
