The Hurstville Museum & Gallery has four exhibition galleries.

We have a changing schedule of exhibitions throughout the year, as outlined below.

Main Gallery

Hosts several major exhibitions a year, including travelling exhibitions.

Upcoming exhibitions in 2023:

Dragon's Lair Gallery

Community exhibition space that can be hired by local artists and groups to showcase their work.

  • Artifacts of Leisure by Kathy Mackey (2 September – 8 October 2023) 

Snapshot Gallery

This gallery is a smaller space. The gallery is dedicated to showcasing collections of local history photographs from the Georges River Libraries Local Studies collection.

Upcoming exhibitions in 2023:

  • Baked beens (16 September 2023 – 14 January 2024) 

There is also a permanent exhibition on display, 'St George Stories', which explores the history of the local area. 

Spotlight Display

This is a small display case situated in our permanent exhibition 'St George Stories'.

 

A range of public programs, events and educational resources are developed to accompany the exhibitions.
