Tree Planting

Tree Giveaways

Council has prepared a Tree Information Guide with information on the benefits of trees and how to receive free trees.

Tree Replacement

If a request to remove trees from your property has been successful, you are required to perform one of the following actions:

  • Replace that tree with two or more trees anywhere within your property boundary within six weeks; or
  • Pay an Offset Fee for tree replacement (per tree).

Council officers will determine which action is to be applied. The Offset Fee can be found under Tree Management in Georges River Council's Fees and Charges.

The conditions for tree replacement are determined by Council's current Development Control Plan and Tree Management Policy.

Tree Species

If replacement is required, please use the following lists when replanting a tree within your property boundary.
