Our Community Venues

• Beverly Hills Creative Studio: an artist and creative studio space available for short term hire for individual or small group art making, workshops, meetings, and creative pursuits. Studio features include: folding trestle tables and chairs, wall mounted art drying rack, sink and kitchenette.

• Blackshaw Gould Community Pavilion: a modern facility for hire, overlooking the pristine Hurstville Oval. Within walking distance from Hurstville Station and Bus Interchange, street parking is also available. Venue features include: main hall area, kitchenette, air conditioning and a long, sheltered balcony area. 

• ​Booth Saunders Pavilion: A charming historic pavilion and private function space with balcony, over looking Hurstville Oval. Venue features include: kitchenette, air conditioning, balcony.

• ​Carss Park Lifesaving Hall: situated within Georges River Council’s popular Carss Bush Park. Inside the venue is a main hall area, equipped kitchenette, air conditioning, fenced covered outdoor play area and street parking.

• ​Carss Park Straw Bale Shed: a unique venue located within the tranquil surrounds of Carss Park Community Garden. The venue is suitable for small gatherings, meetings and workshops.

• ​​Civic Theatre: Hurstville Entertainment Centre’s Civic Theatre is a multi-purpose venue ideal for film screenings, conferences, seminars, auctions, performances and more. The Civic Theatre has a maximum capacity of 209 people seated.

• Hurstville Senior Citizens Centre: with close proximity to public transport and parking options, the Hurstville Senior Citizens Centre is available for functions and events. The venue is equipped with a kitchen, audio system and easy access from Queens Road and its adjacent car park.

• Kingsgrove Community Centre: ideal for meetings and events. The venue is equipped with an on-site kitchen, audio system and floor to ceiling glass windows and doors, and adjoins Smith Park.

• Kogarah School of Arts: boasting the charm of a bygone era, Kogarah School of Arts is a unique venue that offers large upper and lower hall areas, a small stage/bandstand in the upper hall area, and an on-site kitchen. The venue is located within walking distance of Kogarah Town Centre and transport options.

• ​Marana Auditorium: the leading destination for live performances and cultural events in the Georges River Council area. From concerts, dance showcases, seminars and community celebrations. With a spacious capacity of 921 guests (682 on the ground floor and 239 in the dress circle).

• Mortdale Community Centre: a large hall with an attached meeting room / breakout area. The venue sits adjacent to Jubilee Park, adventure playground. This venue is perfect for all types of events, such as kids' birthdays, engagements, award nights and corporate events. 

• Oatley Community Hall: located within walking distance of Oatley Train Station and transport options. Highlights of the venue are a large hall, kitchenette, high ceilings, polished floor boards and an outdoor play area.

• PJ Ferry Reserve Community Hall: located within the grounds of PJ Ferry Reserve, the hall boasts easy access and is equipped with a kitchenette, air conditioning, street parking and access to the public playground.

• St George Community Centre: located in Kogarah’s Central Business District and within walking distance to Kogarah Train Station and other transport options. St George Community Centre offers space and convenience for meetings, or private and community events.
