Planning Proposal Request

This Planning Proposal seeks to amend the Georges River Local Environmental Plan (GRLEP) 2021 to insert a new Part 6 Additional Local Provision clause to enable the implementation of an affordable housing contribution scheme across the entire Georges River LGA. 
 

Status

Council resolved to prepare the subject Planning Proposal at its meeting on 17 November 2025.

A report was considered by the Georges River Local Planning Panel on 5 March 2026.

The Planning Proposal was considered by Council's Environment and Planning Committee on 13 April 2026.

On 28 April 2026, Council resolved to forward the Planning Proposal to the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) for Gateway Determination.

On 11 May 2026, the Planning Proposal was forwarded to the DPHI for a Gateway Determination.
