Georges River Council is inviting the community to help shape the future of the Kogarah Strategic Centre in the development of a new Master Plan.
Kogarah is a key hub for health, education, business, and transport within the Georges River area.
Council has commenced the development of a Master Plan to guide Kogarah’s future growth and change over the next 20 years.
The Master Plan will serve as a framework to support Kogarah as a vibrant centre for health, education and employment, improve movability and connectivity throughout Kogarah, and provide a greater mix of housing types to meet the future needs of the community.
Community feedback is essential in shaping the Master Plan for Kogarah Strategic Centre and understanding the current use and long-term aspirations for the area.
Council would like to hear from residents, businesses, and people who work or visit Kogarah to share their ideas and aspirations for Kogarah and explore how the area can be enhanced to meet future needs.
Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg said, “Council is committed to ensuring that the Kogarah Strategic Centre continues to grow as a thriving, accessible and well-connected hub for our community.
“I encourage all members of the community to take part in the consultation process and share their feedback. Together, we can help shape a future for Kogarah that supports growth while celebrating its unique character.”
Feedback is welcomed online through an interactive map and feedback form. Workshops are also scheduled to provide a platform for residents and businesses to share ideas and insights.
