Georges River Council is asking community members to share their thoughts and experiences to help improve access and inclusion for people with disability in our local area.
The Access and Inclusion Community Survey is now open and will help shape Council’s next Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) for 2026–2030.
The DIAP is a four-year plan that helps Council make our community more inclusive for people with disability, their families and carers. It focuses on making Council spaces and services easier to access, supporting participation in community life and employment, and building positive attitudes and inclusive systems.
The survey has 23 questions and takes about 10 to 15 minutes to complete. This may vary depending on how you access the survey, such as using a screen reader or other assistive technology.
Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg said, “We want to hear directly from our residents, especially those living with disability, their families, carers, and service providers.
“Your feedback will help us better understand what’s working and what needs to change. Together, we can build a more inclusive and welcoming community.”
Residents can complete the survey online, download a hard copy from Council’s website, or pick one up from Council’s customer service centres or libraries.
The survey closes on 14 December 2025.
