Georges River Council is inviting the community to have their say on a concept design for upgrades to Quarry Reserve (North), Hurstville Grove.
Quarry Reserve offers open space, mature trees, and recreation facilities for the local community.
Council has created a concept design to improve Quarry Reserve and create a more accessible and welcoming space. This includes:
-
Two upgraded tennis courts, with pickleball line marking.
-
Two new dedicated pickleball courts.
-
A new amenities building.
-
Accessible paths and improved connections across the precinct.
-
Formalised vehicle access and car parking, including accessible parking spaces.
-
New seating, shelters and sandstone retaining walls.
-
New planting and forest revegetation.
-
Drainage improvements to reduce ponding and improve access in wet weather.
Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg said, “Quarry Reserve is an important local open space.
“Council values feedback. We encourage the community to share their ideas and help ensure the Quarry Reserve Precinct Design reflects the needs of our growing community.”
The consultation is open for feedback until 28 August 2026. For more information and to share feedback, visit Council’s Your Say webpage.
