E Waste & Extras Drop Off Event Helps Residents Recycle More

29/04/2026

Georges River Council is inviting residents to take part in a free E‑Waste & Extras Drop Off event on Sunday 17 May 2026 at Council’s Mortdale Depot.

The event helps local residents safely recycle unwanted electronics. It also makes it easy to recover materials that can’t go in kerbside bins for recycling.

Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg said the event supports Council’s commitment to sustainability and waste reduction.

“This event makes it easier for our community to recycle items that often end up in landfill,” said Mayor Borg.

“By recycling e‑waste and other hard‑to‑dispose materials, we are helping protect our environment and making a positive difference for future generations.”

Residents can drop off many electronic items which includes televisions, computers, mobile phones, and small appliances.

This event will also accept additional non e‑waste materials for recycling, including flat‑packed cardboard, expanded polystyrene (EPS), hard plastics and more.

The event is for Georges River residents only. Bookings are not required. For a full list of accepted materials, residents are encouraged to visit Council’s E‑Waste & Extras Drop Off webpage before attending.
