Connect and Celebrate at Migrant Information Day 2025

22/10/2025

Georges River Council is proud to host Migrant Information Day 2025 on Wednesday 5 November at the Marana Auditorium and Civic Theatre in Hurstville.

This free event is brought to the community by the St George Multicultural Network. This group has supported the local community for over 20 years.

Migrant Information Day is a special day that celebrates the many cultures in the St George area. It also helps new migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers get information on services like housing, health, jobs, education, and more.

This year’s event will be even more exciting, with innovative stalls, live cultural performances, and a free lunch for all visitors. Migrant Information Day 2025 will also feature free interactive activities throughout the day, including an AFL workshop, interviews with SBS, Hurstville Museum & Gallery tours, hearing tests, Dress for Success fashion show, an Aboriginal weaving circle and much more.

Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg said, “This important event is a great way to welcome new people to our community and show them the support that is available.

“Events like this help build strong, inclusive communities where everyone feels they belong.”

The Marana Auditorium is wheelchair accessible and close to public transport. There is also parking available nearby.
