At last night’s Meeting of Council, Georges River Councillors voted unanimously for the amendment as outlined below:
Amendment

That in accordance with Section 178 of the Local Government (General) Regulation 2021 (NSW), Council accepts the Tender from the current service provider Evolution Sports Pty Limited for T25/011 Ken Rosewall Tennis Centre.

That in accordance with section 178(1) of the Local Government (General) Regulation 2021, Council note that the tender evaluation did not demonstrate a material benefit in transitioning to an alternative service provider.

That the General Manager be authorised to execute the Contract with Evolution Sports Pty Limited on behalf of Council.

That the unsuccessful tenderer(s) be advised of Council’s decision.
Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg said, “It was evident by the feedback Council received from the community, that the current operator is much-loved and is providing a great service to the community.
“Although Council has legal obligations to put its properties out to tender to ensure that Council is receiving the best outcome on behalf of the community.
“I am pleased that this process demonstrated that the community is getting great value and service from the current operator, and Council’s decision was able to reflect that.”
