Construction Update for 1–3 Wright Street and 108–124 Forest Road, Hurstville

Public Notice 05/11/2025

Construction is expected to begin soon following final determination of MOD2024/0156. The work duration will depend on staging and approvals. We’ll provide updates as timelines are confirmed. The mixed-use development involves demolition and building retail spaces with housing above them.
 
Subsequent modifications have been approved:
  • MOD2023/0151 - Changes to the building footprint, façades, internal layout, and unit mix.
  • MOD2024/0156 - Council officers agreed on further changes. Amended plans are being finalised for review.
 
Key traffic management requirements include:
  • Truck Access: All construction vehicles must enter and exit via Hudson Street. Wright Street is not approved for truck movements.
  • Traffic Control: Pedestrian signage and traffic controllers on site.
  • Parking Restrictions:
    • Double parking is not allowed.
    • No parking in No Stopping/No Standing zones.
    • No parking across neighbouring driveways.
  • Works Zones: Any proposed Works Zones need approval from Council's Traffic Committee.
