Join us at our Youth Zone at Blackshaw Gould Community Pavilion this December!
Get your groove on and learn to DJ with industry expert Neil Ismail. Mix it up and scratch that creative itch in this introductory session.
You’ll learn the basics for what makes a great DJ in this workshop including:

Intro to DJ Tools, including using a DJ controller, mixer, and software.

Basic Mixing techniques.

Intro to basic music structure and simple effects.

This workshop is suitable for young people ages 12-17 years old.

Students are encouraged to bring their laptop, phone, or iPad, along with a pair of headphones with cables. A recommended free app is djay by Algoriddim, available on iOS, Android, Mac, and Windows.

For participants under the age of 16, parent and/or guardian contact details must be provided at the time of booking.

If you arrive more than 10 minutes after the advertised start time and there are people in the standby queue, your ticket may be allocated to the standby queue.

If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration at least 3 hours prior to the event. As Library Programs have limited spaces and repeated failure to notify staff of cancellations, bookings may be refused in the future.
