Shop online with confidence this festive season - join our free Tech Chat session and learn practical ways to stay safe while shopping online.
With festive sales and online shopping in full swing, knowing how to shop safely is more important than ever. This practical session will explore how to recognise suspicious websites and online shopping scams, make safer payments, protect your personal and financial information, and identify common warning signs before making a purchase.
Participants will work through practical tips and real-life examples designed to help them make safer and more confident choices when shopping online.
The session is ideal for anyone who wants to build their digital confidence and better understand online shopping safety. No previous technical skills are required.
The session will be delivered by experienced Library Digital Support staff, providing friendly, easy-to-follow guidance and practical demonstrations. Participants are encouraged to bring their own smartphone or tablet to follow along.

If you arrive more than 10 minutes after the advertised start time and there are people in the standby queue, your ticket may be allocated to the standby queue.

If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration at least 3 hours prior to the event. As Library Programs have limited spaces, repeated failure to notify staff of cancellations may result in bookings being refused in the future.
