Tech Chat: Getting Around and Staying Secure - 17 April
This is a Council led event.
17/04/2026 - Hurstville Library.
Develop practical phone skills for finding locations, navigating routes, checking travel time, and saving passwords.
Learn how to use your phone for maps, directions, travel time, and password safety. Join this free Tech Chat and build confidence using everyday phone tools for travel and online access.
In this session, you learn how to use Google Maps or Apple Maps to find locations, follow step by step directions, and understand travel time before you leave home. You also explore Apple Passwords and Google Password Manager. You see how your phone saves passwords securely and helps protect your online accounts.
This session suits beginners and anyone with little technology experience. It works well for seniors and adults who want simple, practical phone skills for daily life.
The session is delivered by a library staff member experienced in digital literacy support. The presenter provides clear demonstrations and guides you at a comfortable pace.
You follow along on your own smartphone. iPhone and Android devices are both supported. Library Wi-Fi is available during the session.
