Have you ever wanted to join a circus, just for a day? Come along to the Urban Circus Workshop to learn all the skills it takes to perform under the big top!

Join us for a high-energy session filled with fun and laughter as you try classic circus skills such as whirling hula hoops, spinning plates, juggling, and twirling colourful poi - just like a real big‑top performer. It’s a playful, hands‑on circus adventure packed with energy, confidence‑building, and show‑stopping fun!

More information 

  • This event is suitable for children ages 8-12 years old.
  • ​All equipment will be provided.

  • Please ensure you wear comfortable clothing that is suitable for physical activity.
  • For participants aged 12 years and under, parents and/or guardians of children must remain in the library for the duration of the program. For safety reasons, one parent/guardian can only be responsible for a maximum of 4 children (1:4 ratio).

  • If you arrive more than 10 minutes after the advertised start time and there are people in the standby queue, your ticket may be allocated to the standby queue.

  • If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration at least 3 hours prior to the event. As Library Programs have limited spaces, repeated failure to notify staff of cancellations may result in bookings being refused in the future.

  • The library does not endorse or promote any products which may be used in the workshop.
