School Holiday Program: Box City at Oatley Library

This is a Council led event.

22/01/2026 - Oatley Library

Structural engineers and sustainability fans alike will enjoy our Box City drop-ins during these Summer School Holidays. Build it up, build it up, build it higher, and see the cardboard communities we can craft together.

Using recycled materials and a bit of imagination children of all ages can build bungalows, construct cottages, sculpt schools, raise retail businesses, and make even more homes, abodes and dwellings in a Georges River Box City.

Our Box Cities will be under construction all day (10am-5pm) so come in at a time that suits you, to help us construct and create! Please be aware that normal capacity limits will be enforced, so there may be a wait at times to keep everyone comfortable and safe. All equipment will be supplied, but if you have boxes at home that you would like to bring to build with you are more than welcome!
