Explore the world of generative AI in this interactive workshop. Generative AI uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create written and visual content from a written description.
 
In this fun, hands-on workshop, we’ll peek behind the curtain of AI, explore how it’s showing up in everyday life and how you can use it confidently and creatively using prompts with different platforms.
 
In this workshop, participants will:

  • Be introduced to the concept of AI and generative AI.

  • Practice writing effective prompts while learning to protect privacy and understand the risks and opportunities of using AI.

  • Learn to recognise AI across text, image and video formats.

  • Experiment with generative AI under the guidance of the program facilitator.

  • If you arrive more than 10 minutes after the advertised start time and there are people in the standby queue, your ticket may be allocated to the standby queue.

  • This workshop will not be recorded and cannot be accessed after the scheduled time. If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration at least 3 hours prior to the event. As Library Programs have limited spaces and repeated failure to notify staff of cancellations, bookings may be refused in the future.

About the Facilitator:
Jane Venegas is the founder and director of Nested Realities. She is a 3D and VR producer who is passionate and enthusiastic about the metaverse and AI technologies. She has worked with the automotive industry, airlines, state governments, theme parks and architects to transform brands through interactive storytelling.
