Get Crafty: Upcycled Pride Patch-Making Workshop at Kogarah Library

This is a Council led event.

12/02/2026 - Clive James Library and Service Centre

In this 2-hour hands-on workshop, you'll create a personalised patch from upcycled fabric using simple embroidery and embellishment techniques.

Whether you're exploring identity, celebrating what matters to you, or simply want to make something uniquely yours, you'll leave with a completed patch ready to add to your favourite jacket, bag, or jeans.

What you'll learn:

  • Basic embroidery stitches for creating shapes and text.

  • Adding embellishments like beads, buttons, and gemstones.

  • Using paint pens for colour and design.

  • Ideas for how attach your finished patch to clothing or accessories.

Optional: Bring a jacket, bag, or jeans to attach your patch during the workshop.

This event is suitable for adults. No prior art experience is required.

All materials and equipment will be provided.
