The Community Cyber-Safe workshop is part of Georges River Council's No Phishing in Georges River campaign, off the back of Safer Internet Day 10 February 2026. The theme for Safer Internet Day 2026 is “smart tech, safe choices- Exploring the safe and responsible use of AI.” This workshop forms part of Georges River Council's Seniors Festival, and is part of a series of events.
Scams are becoming more sophisticated and can happen to anyone. This presentation will show you how scammers operate, the tactics they use to exploit trust and emotions, and practical steps to protect your personal information. With real-life stories and expert guidance from IDCARE, you’ll learn how to spot scams, respond safely, and stay confident online.
