Baby Explorers: Dancing

This is a Council led event.

13/08/2026 - Hurstville Museum & Gallery.

A fun and engaging program for babies up to 12 months and their carers. Each month, discover new ways to play and connect through art-themed activities.

Babies will enjoy stories and songs in our colourful sensory pit, along with hands-on sensory experiences featuring textures, sounds, colours, and simple crafts. Carers will also have the opportunity to take part in a guided tour of the Main Gallery exhibition, highlighting key artworks.

Each baby must be accompanied by one adult (excluding multiples). Please note that older siblings cannot attend. Baby change facilities and pram parking are available for your convenience.

Attendance at our events may be digitally recorded through photographs and/or videos. These images may be used by Georges River Council and Hurstville Museum & Gallery in their publications, social media, council’s website or newspaper. Please notify staff if you do not wish to be filmed.

Terms & Conditions

  • Programs are designed for specific age groups, and children must meet the age requirements stated in the program description.

  • A parent and/or guardian must be aged 16 years or over. A parent and/or guardian must remain at Hurstville Museum & Gallery for the duration of the program for participants aged 10 years and under.

  • Due to class size restrictions, younger or older siblings are not permitted in the activity.

  • Bookings are essential for all activities.

  • No refunds for cancellations or missed bookings.

  • Program swapping is not permitted.

  • Programs are fully supervised by qualified staff.

  • While all reasonable precautions are taken, participation in the program is at the participants', parent/guardian’s own risk.

  • The museum and its staff are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained during the program unless caused by gross negligence.
