Aussie Bird Count After School (5-12 years)
This is a Council led event.
23/10/2026 - Penshurst Library.
Whether you’re crazy about crows, mad about magpies, or keen on currawongs, we are inviting budding birdwatchers to join us at Penshurst Library for an afternoon of feathery fun for 5-12 year olds. There’ll be bird-themed books and craft, followed by a birdwatching session in the park, where we’ll become Citizen Scientists and collect data for the Aussie Bird Count.
Birdlife Australia’s Aussie Bird Count is a Citizen Scientist project where the public go birdwatching in their local area to help create data about Australia’s bird population. This data is used by professional scientists in their work to protect vulnerable species and improve biodiversity all over the country.
