This is a Council led event.

Discover lands filled with magic, monsters, traps, and treasure, solve ancient mysteries, and make new friends in a collaborative storytelling environment.

During this session, you will pick up the basics of Tabletop Roleplaying Games with Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition (D&D 5e), the world’s oldest roleplaying game!

At the Adventure Academy, learn the basics of Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition, from understanding a character sheet and rolling dice to working with your party to navigate in-game social interactions and using creative problem solving to explore fictional dungeon rooms.

During this session, you will learn:

  • What roleplaying is, and how to play roleplaying games.

  • The basic rules of Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition.

  • How to use your character sheet and your dice.

  • How to work as a team in a roleplaying game.

Whether you’re new to roleplaying games, or looking for a friendly group, Adventure Academy is an exciting program to gain experience in a new hobby and learn to work together with new friends in a collaborative storytelling adventure.

All materials and equipment will be provided, but feel free to bring your favourite set of dice if you like. No prior roleplaying experience is necessary.
