Bring your podcasting ideas to life in this immersive and fun masterclass. You will learn from a podcasting professional, and walk away with the tools and inspiration you need to publish your first episode.
In this session you will learn:

Pitching and concept development – hone your idea into a successful project.

Planning – plan episodes and utilize AI tools to maximise your idea’s appeal and output.

Recording and Post-Production – be introduced to Podcast Packs from the library’s Digital Tool’s collection, free-to-download software and Adobe Cloud products for editing.

Video – learn what video concepts to incorporate into ideas and how to create quality short and long-form vodcast content.

Distribution – how to publish your own work and boost advertising and earning potential

Attendees are required to bring their own laptop, smartphone and headphones for use in the workshop. The Media Lab is equipped with computers which can be used for post-production exercises using Adobe Cloud products. Please email library@georgesriver.nsw.gov.au if you require assistance.
About the Facilitator:
Joseph Corr has worked in media for over two decades, with experience at Disney, ESPN, FOX Sports, and Channel 9. Joseph has worked on multiple aware-winning podcasts, ranging from spot to true crime. With extensive industry knowledge, Joseph brings practical insights and real-world expertise to help you create and grow your own podcast.
About the Media Lab and Digital Tools collection:
The Media Lab boasts a professional studio set up with a cyclorama wall, green screens, studio lights and Surface Studios with the full Adobe Creative Cloud. The digital tool library contains cameras, recording equipment and other digital accessories that can be borrowed for free with your library membership.

If you arrive more than 10 minutes after the advertised start time and there are people in the standby queue, your ticket may be allocated to the standby queue.

If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration at least 3 hours prior to the event. As Library Programs have limited spaces, repeated failure to notify staff of cancellations may result in bookings being refused in the future.
