Get Crafty: Found & Sewn Altered Images at Hurstville Library
This is a Council led event.
02/06/2026 - Hurstville Library.
Take a found image and make it yours — with collage, mark-making and stitch.
Every image has something more to say. In this workshop, you'll cut and arrange images pulled from magazines and printed pages into a collage. You’ll then add hand stitching and mark-making to take it further. There's no right way to do this. Just follow what catches your eye.
In this workshop you'll:
-
Cut and arrange found images into a collage.
-
Use hand stitching to accent and embellish.
-
Explore mark-making as a way to alter and respond.
-
Leave with one or more finished pieces.
No experience needed. Everything is provided. Beginner friendly for adults. Just wear something you don't mind getting paint on.
This event is suitable for ages 16 years and over.
