Exquisite Corpse: Shadow Lines & Optical Art
This is a Council led event.
30/10/2026 - Hurstville Museum & Gallery
Celebrate Halloween with a creative after-hours workshop inspired by Anatomy Lessons by Michele Beevors.
After exploring the exhibition in a low-lit gallery with only the glow of a torch, you'll take part in the surreal drawing game Exquisite Corpse. Sketch different animal bones, forms and details from across the exhibition to create your own strange, Frankenstein-inspired creature.
Moving to the art studio, you will be guided through a range of playful mark-making techniques using paint markers and oil pastels to transform your sketches into a bold, finished artwork.
Gather your friends, embrace the Halloween spirit and discover a different way to enjoy Michele Beevors' extraordinary knitted animal skeletons in this unique adults-only after-hours experience.
No drawing experience is needed, this workshop is designed to be relaxed, creative and fun.
