The Silvan Collective (TSC) is a partnership between three siblings, a project to flip the script on urban development and the site of a future intentional community centred around Permaculture principles in the quiet southern Sydney suburb of Lugarno.

It involves the renovation of two existing homes, the addition of two granny flats and one tiny home plus the incorporation of edible forests and annual beds, aquaponics systems and poultry on approximately 2,300sqm.

In this talk, TSC’s founder, Claudia Walters and Garden Manager, Daniel Di Fluri will share the story of the project's progress. From its origins and vision through to the design, systems and partnerships being developed, site limitations and challenges encountered, as well as marketing ideas being explored.
